カナダのモントリオールを活動拠点とする４人組のエモ・リヴァイバルバンド “Gulfer”の 13曲入りファーストアルバム「dog bless」 を遂に日本盤としてリリース！今までにFriend of Mineから「Transcendals」と「What Gives」の2作のEPをリリースして、日本でもエモ・マスロックファンの間で知名度も徐々に上がっている。前作の「What Gives」のEPをリリース後に、ギターのJoeとドラムのJulineが新たなメンバーとして加入して、EUツアーなど行って精力的に活動を行ってる。今回のアルバムは、彼らが加入後に制作された音源も多数収録されていている。洗練されたサウンドは、よりエモーションナルにエネルギッシュで、マスロック特有の変拍子とタッピングを多様したテクニカルな演奏で独創的な曲の展開。今回のアルバムは、彼らの魅力が詰まった最高傑作の作品に仕上がっている。同アルバムのCD以外のフォーマット、12インチヴァイナルやカセットテープなど、USのTopshelf RecordsとUKのBig Scary Monsterから共同でリリースが決まっている。
